La société Berry Fibre Optique - filiale d'Axione- est chargée d’exécuter la politique publique d'aménagement du territoire en très haut débit décidée par les Syndicats mixtes Berry Numérique et RIP 36.

Les conseils départementaux du Cher(18) et de l’Indre (36) ont souhaité mettre en place un réseau numérique très haut débit pour le Berry en dehors de Bourges, Châteauroux et Vierzon où des investissements privés financent le déploiement de la Fibre. 

En 2016, ils ont confié à Berry Fibre Optique la mission d’exploiter et de commercialiser ce réseau en fibre optique, via une délégation de service public pour 25 ans.

Le projet comprend le déploiement de 240 000 prises prises FTTH par Berry Fibre Optique, Berry Numérique et RIP 36.
